AGENT-BUILDING CHECKLIST
1 min read
Before deploying, check:
Job
- What problem does the Agent solve?
Input
- What does the Agent receive?
Output
- What must the Agent produce?
Workflow
- Is the sequence clear yet?
Model
- Is the model suitable?
Thinking
- Is it set too high or too low?
Knowledge
- What does the Agent need to know?
Tools
- Which Tools are truly needed?
Failure
- What to do when data is missing?
Human Review
- Which actions need human approval?
Test
- Are there normal, conflict, missing-data, and edge cases yet?
Version
- Can you tell which configuration the Agent is running?
If these parts are clear, the Agent has enough of a foundation to start running.
SUMMARY
Don’t build an Agent by writing a very long prompt.
Build it as a system:
Task → Input → Workflow → Model → Knowledge → Tools → Output → Verification
Then:
Test → find errors → fix the right layer → retest.
A good Agent isn’t formed in one pass.
It is improved through real use.
